The Fresno State softball team enjoyed its best season in nine years in 2008 as they finished 54-13, No. 15 in both the NFCA and USA polls while setting numerous team and individual records and hosting an NCAA Regional for the first time in two years. |

The Marist College softball program announced on Monday that all spots for the camps on July 7-10 and July 14-17 have been filled. Head Coach Erin Layton and her staff, as well as current and former collegiate players, will hold the camps at the Softball Park at Gartland Athletic Field. |

Saint Louis head softball coach John Conway added a West Coast-transplant and the first local player to his 2009 recruiting class with the signings of infielder Kelly Flanagan (San Diego, Calif. / University City) and utility player Erin Cejka (Kirkwood, Mo. / Kirkwood), respectively. Conway also announced that St. Louis Post-Dispatch Player of the Year, middle infielder Kerri Dockins (Millstadt, Ill. / Belleville West), has also chosen to attend the University and compete as a member of the softball team. Flanagan, Cejka and Dockins will all have four years of eligibility starting with the 2008-09 academic year. |

The Missouri softball team recorded one of its best showings in program history, not only on the field, but in the classroom. Combining for a 3.37 grade-point average, this marks the highest team GPA for the softball squad since the start of the program in 1975. |

From the best opening weekend in school history to the program\'s first double-dip of Big Ten gold, the 2008 Northwestern campaign was a study in how great individual efforts combine to form great team performances. Every Wildcat on the roster had a big moment in a game, and every game saw the Wildcats build momentum in yet another season of successful softball in Evanston. Senior Darcy Sengewald (pictured) concluded her career with 184 wins as a Wildcat, the most in school history. |

St. John\'s head softball coach Amy Kvilhaug has announced that Andy Russo will join the staff as an assistant coach. The newcomer will split his time working with the infield and outfield while also assisting in hitting, scouting and recruiting. |
